MEDIA RELEASE

Victorian real estate businesses will soon have opportunity to help shape cutting-edge property technology products and services, courtesy of a partnership struck today between the Real Estate Institute of Victoria (REIV) and growth accelerator, REACH Australia.

The coming together of the two entities will see REIV members gain access to world-leading digital technology, platforms and data, as well connection to a global network of real estate organisations across 85 countries.

REIV CEO Quentin Kilian said the partnership will help REIV deliver on its vision to embrace and nurture the innovative technologies that contribute to a stronger and more sustainable property sector in the modern-world.

“The REIV is focused on delivering real estate professionals opportunities to leverage technology in order to improve business efficiencies, client experiences and, ultimately, sector prosperity,” said Mr Kilian.

“On the flip side, emerging proptechs in the REACH program will benefit greatly from the insights, advice, and opportunities our exceptional real estate practitioners and industry leaders can provide. It’s a true dual value partnership.”

The REACH program is a ground-breaking growth accelerator for proptech start-ups. Backed by the US-based National Association of Realtors through its strategic venture arm, Second Century Ventures (SCV), REACH Australia is the premier technology scale-up program available the Asia/Pacific region.

REACH Australia Portfolio Manager Tom Ellis said his organisation was excited by the partnership.

“Formalising a relationship with the REIV is a giant step in linking our organisation’s ambitions to curate emerging property technology companies and connect them to members within the REIV ecosystem,” said Mr Ellis.

“We are proud to be partnering with a respected property peak body that is recognised for its impactful engagement with, and advocacy for, participants in the sector. REIV will help REACH Australia’s Cohort better understand the everyday pain points that real estate professionals need help to alleviate.”

“Bringing new forms of proptech that align with REIV ensures the inclusion of the perspective from those who will proactively use the platforms,” says Mr Ellis.
