COVID-19 Update:

REIV 2020 Auctioneering Competitions – Going Digital
2020 may look different but it sure has led to more new ideas and innovations than ever before!
The 2020 REIV Auction Competitions will also look different. This year, more than ever, it is important for the industry and auctioneers to come together to celebrate excellence in real estate. While we can’t have the same in-person celebrations, the Auction Competitions give us an incredible platform to support and recognise the adaptability of our sector. Keeping this in mind, the 2020 Competition will focus on digital tools that create opportunities to share and acknowledge real estate excellence with clients, colleagues and the public.
The REIV is committed to ensuring the health and safety of everyone involved in our industry, hence the move to embrace technology and move the competitions online. We understand there is nothing better than a face to face ‘live’ auction, however, 2020 has shown us more than ever before how technology can assist us in our profession.

Australasian Real Estate Institutes’ Auctioneering Championship

The Australasian Auctioneering Championships is an annual event representing some of the highly skilled and professional auctioneers that Australia and New Zealand have to offer.

The Championships are conducted jointly by the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand (REINZ) and the Real Estate Institute of Australia (REIA).

The Australasian Real Estate Institutes' Auctioneering Championship brings together the winner and runner-up of each of the Australian State REI Auctioneering Competitions and the winner and runner-up of the national REINZ Auctioneering Competition.

Note: Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions on interstate and international travel, the 2020 Australasian Auctioneering Championships will not be proceeding.

Master Auctioneering Program

Established in 2015, the REIV Master Auctioneers Program recognises some of Victoria’s best auctioneers and sets a benchmark for best practice auctioneering.

The accolade celebrates auctioneers who have excelled in their field, particularly in state or national competitions. Winners of the Senior Auctioneers' Competitions receive and retain the title of Master Auctioneer while they continue as members of the Institute.

The REIV will work closely with the Master Auctioneers to continually enhance the skills and expertise of Victorian auctioneers.
