Real estate goes online in Covid-19 hotspots

The Victorian Government on Tuesday announced that in light of rising cases of Coronavirus, ten postcodes with the highest amount of incidents would return to Stage 3 restrictions.
REIV President Leah Calnan said real estate business will adapt their processes by reverting to inspections by appointment and online auctions in Melbourne’s ten Covid-19 hotspots.
“Any return of restrictions is frustrating for all involved, but the real estate sector is prepared to do what’s required to help curb Covid-19.” Ms Calnan said.
Businesses and residents in the following suburbs will return to stage 3 restrictions:
3012, Brooklyn, Kingsville, Maidstone, Tottenham, West Footscray.
3021, Albanvale, Kealba, Kings Park, St Albans.
3032, Ascotvale, High Point city, Maribyrnong, Travencore.
3038, Keilor Downs, Keilor Lodge, Taylors Lakes, Watergardens.
3042, Airport West, Keilor Park, Niddrie.
3046, Glenroy, Hadfield, Oak Park.
3047, Broadmeadows, Dallas, Jacana.
3060, Fawkner.
3064, Craigieburn, Donnybrook, Mickelham, Roxburgh Park and Calcallow.
REIV President Leah Calnan said real estate agents in those areas were well prepared.
“The REIV is calling on all member agencies in the affected areas to work with buyers, tenants and owners to conduct inspections by appointment and change any auctions scheduled to online methods.”
