Clarification regarding proposed shut down of non-essential activity in Victoria

Last night Daniel Andrews announced that Victoria will implement a shutdown of all non-essential activity across our state to combat the spread of Coronavirus. The REIV sought clarification regarding the definition of 'essential services' as there were many unanswered questions following this announcement.

Some further information has been provided this morning which means that real estate businesses can continue to operate at this time. Auctions, property inspections, sales etc can continue but it is critical that health advice is followed. You must modify your work practices to ensure the safety of all involved.

The situation continues to evolve so it is important that you review your work practices and monitor the advice daily.
