Federal Treasurer meets with key REIV stakeholders

The REIV was delighted to host the Federal Treasurer, the Hon. Josh Frydenberg MP, this morning for an industry event.
The Treasurer also held a press conference at the REIV, alongside REIV Immediate Past President Richard Simpson and CEO Gil King, to address the media about the impact that the Federal Opposition’s proposed changes to negative gearing would have on the Victorian property market.
Mr Simpson addressed the media on this important issue for our industry, with the story expected to air on Sky News, ABC, Channel 9 and AAP.
Securing the Treasurer’s engagement at this crucial time in the lead up to the Federal Election shows that the health of our real estate industry. The property market is a major priority for the Federal Government.
