Brian Ward appointed to REIV Board

The Real Estate Institute of Victoria has announced the appointment of commercial lawyer Brian Ward as an brian-ward-media-release.jpgadditional, non-executive Director.

REIV President Richard Simpson said Mr Ward has enjoyed a lengthy law career and brings extensive and relevant experience to the Board. 

“Brian’s wealth of knowledge across governance, legal and commercial matters will be an invaluable asset to the REIV Board of Directors.”

“The real estate industry is in the midst of significant change and Mr Ward’s experience in ethics and regulation will assist the Board in ensuring the REIV is appropriately placed to support and develop our members now and into the future.”

Mr Ward’s previous directorial appointments include Chair of the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority Advisory Group and National Vice Chair of the Australian Red Cross. 

A recipient of an Order of Australia medal in 2008, Mr Ward has also been admitted to the Roll of Honour at the University of Melbourne’s Law Faculty. 

Mr Ward said he is pleased to be associated with the leading association for the real estate industry. 

“It’s an honour to be appointed to the REIV Board, where I hope my experience will be of benefit to its stakeholders in general and the built environment in particular.”
