Agent’s Representative Course in Real Estate

The first step to work in real estate or become a licensed real estate agent (Certificate IV in Property Services) is to complete the Agent’s Representative course. The REIV offers you:

  • A nationally accredited, 5 day training course (part time option available)
  • Presented by experienced, professional trainers currently working in the real estate industry
  • Flexible learning options: study full time, part time or by distance learning
  • Insights into the real estate industry with a complimentary REIV student membership

 

Overview

This course will provide you with the entry-level units required by the Victorian Business Licensing Authority to work in real estate. The Agent’s Representative Certificate authorises you to work for a Licensed Real Estate Agent and undertake a broad range of duties and responsibilities.

The course consists of three units of competency from the Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate):

CPPDSM4080A Work in the Real Estate Industry
CPPDSM4007A Identify Legal & Ethical Requirements of Property Management to complete agency work
CPPDSM4008A Identify Legal & Ethical Requirements of Property Sales to complete agency work

The REIV is a trusted Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

The REIV is only registered to deliver this course in Victoria and is not registered to deliver to international students.

The fee includes a comprehensive learner reference guide and all assessments including up to 3 re-submissions. Students are also eligible for a complimentary REIV Individual Membership if applied for within 6 months of agent's representative course completion date and employed with an REIV member agency.

Due to changes in the BLA’s mutual recognition process for Agents from other states, students who completed the Agents Representative Units outside Victoria are required to undergo retraining to be eligible to register in Victoria.
Students who hold these three units from an interstate provider will be charged a reduced rate of $535.00. To apply for this rate simply complete the manual registration form and submit along with a certified copy of your Statement of Attainment.
