Preparing for the New Residential Tenancies Act

Details

Short Online Course with eBook

Leading up to the release of the final Regulations we have been looking at various ‘what ifs’ based on our discussions with government. The Residential Tenancies Regulations 2021 were published on 27th January and now it is time for Victorian real estate professionals to focus on the new Act and Regulations.

REIV has been working directly with Government on the RTA Amendments from the initial design stages through to development of the Regulations. More than 120 new landlord obligations come into effect on 29 March 2021, just one day after the completion of an onerous COVID-19 rental moratorium. Although REIV may not support all the amendments that are now in the Act, we are now focused on ensuring that the Victorian real estate sector is well prepared to effectively implement the new laws as they come into effect.

REIV has been holding regular webinars on the expected changes. This online course will complement the webinars with a closer look at the Regulations and the implementation. All attendees will receive an eBook to support their learning.

This online course will be delivered by REIV President Leah Calnan and CEO Gil King.
