Membership Eligibility
Over 80 per cent of real estate agencies in Victoria have chosen to be members of the REIV. That is a testimony to the importance and significance of an REIV membership and it also means that we are uniquely placed to share resources, data and expertise.
The REIV offers three major ways to get involved and be part of the Difference in real estate.
Eligibility to REIV Membership is governed by the REIV Constitution and By-Laws. Check your eligibility and apply for approriate memberhsip category.
Individual Membership
Licensed Estate Agents, Agent’s Representatives, Owners Corporation Managers and Valuers can apply for an Individual Membership.
Individuals that work in the real estate sector but are not eligible for individual membership may apply to be an Affiliate of the Institute.
Fees
REIV membership renewal date is 1 July. Applicants will be charged a pro-rata amount for the current financial year on approval of your application.
- Licensed Members: $332 (inc. GST) per annum. Join Now

Office Membership
The following real estate businesses may apply for Office Membership under the REIV Constitution and By-Laws.
1. Businesses holding an Estate Agency License
The applicant business holding a current Estate Agents licence and registered with the Business Licensing Authority of Victoria. The business can be:

Independent agency

Sole trader
Those people who are part of the Business Leadership team and who are Licensed Agents or Agents Representatives must also hold an individual membership:
2. Valuation or Owners Corporation Manager Businesses that DO NOT hold an Estate Agency License
Those people who are part of the Business Leadership team who are eligible for Licensed Membership, must be Licensed Members, including:

Fees

Membership fee for an office membership is determined by number of employees in the business. REIV membership renewal date is 1 July. Applicants will be charged a pro-rata amount for the current financial year on approval of your application.

Where the OIEC or Branch Manager is already a financial individual REIV member, the individual fee amount will be deducted form the above office fees.

Appointing an Account Administrator
An OIEC may nominate an Account Administrator for their REIV Office Membership Account. The administrator will have the ability to take the following actions on behalf of the Office Membership:
- Order printed forms, REIV diary, stationery or other supplies
- Pay invoices billed to the office membership
- Contact the REIV for any queries or assistance on behalf of the OIEC
- Keep the office profile up to date on the REIV website

Affiliate of the Institute
Businesses or Individuals that work in the real estate sector but are not eligible for office or individual membership may apply to be an Affiliate of the Institute.
Corporate offices of franchise groups and service providers to the sector will find this offer valuable.
Applicant can be an individual or business that works in the real estate sector but is not eligible for membership.
Fees
REIV membership renewal date is 1 July. Applicants will be charged a pro-rata amount for the current financial year on approval of your application.
- Affiliate Business: $75.33 (inc. GST) paid monthly via direct debit or $904 (inc. GST) per annum.
- Affiliate Individual: $18.25 (inc. GST) paid monthly via direct debit or $219 (inc. GST) per annum.
