The Real Estate Institute of Victoria (REIV) congratulates senior auctioneer and member, Luke Banitsiotis of Woodards Blackburn, for being crowned Australia and New Zealand’s best auctioneer for 2024.
In a strong show of skills, style and charisma at the Australasian Auctioneering Championships (AUSTROS) 2024 in Hobart yesterday, Banitsiotis outperformed finalists Alec Brown (ACT), Bronte Manuel (SA), Clarence White (NSW) and Paul Hancock (NSW) to claim the title.
An experienced senior auctioneer and partner of Woodards Blackburn in Melbourne’s East, Mr Banitsiotis is a three-time REIV Senior Auctioneer of the Year. His runner up placement at the REIV’s 2024 Senior Auctioneering Competition led to his successful campaign for the Australasian prize.
Jacob Caine, REIV President, said Mr Banitsiotis’ skills and style were unmatched and represent the best Victoria has to offer.
“The REIV is delighted to see one of our own recognised as Australia and New Zealand’s best auctioneer. It’s reflective of the professionalism, skills and talent of those operating in our state’s $2.5 trillion real estate market,” said Mr Caine.

Winner Mr Banitsiotis said he was honoured to receive the award at regional level.
