The Real Estate Institute of Victoria (REIV) is strengthening its focus on professional development across all areas of real estate services.
Our sector is navigating significant reform across legislation, taxation, compliance and consumer protection. In this environment, the REIV is uniquely positioned to play a greater leadership role influencing policy development and supporting its effective implementation.
To support this direction, the REIV has made a strategic decision to prioritise investment in building service capability that underpins a high-performing and professional real estate sector. As part of this strategy, we have reviewed how our resources can deliver the greatest impact.
Following careful consideration, the REIV will phase out its delivery of accredited qualifications and will no longer offer the CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice or CPP51122 Diploma of Property (Agency Management). Importantly, students currently enrolled in these qualifications will not be impacted. All enrolled learners will continue to receive full support and will be assisted through to successful completion of their course.
In recent years, industry demand has increasingly shifted toward lower-cost accredited training models. In light of this evolving landscape, it is both practical and strategic for the REIV to focus on delivering high-quality professional development programs that provide greater flexibility, industry relevance and practical value for working professionals.
The REIV remains firmly committed to being the centre of excellence for practicing real estate professionals and to supporting a capable, confident and future-ready sector.
