Heidelberg Heights is located 11 km north-east of the CBD. Bounded by the Darebin Creek in the west and Waterdale Road in the east Heidelberg Heights is a small residential suburb in Melbourne's northeast. The suburb is predominately comprised of one and two person households and like a number of suburbs in this part of Melbourne the population has decreased and aged significantly over the 1981-1996 period. Heidelberg Heights also features the Northern Institute of TAFE - Bell Campus and Ford Park while the Olympic Park traverses the western boundary.
