Clarinda is located 19 km south-east of the CBD. Clarinda is a residential and horticultural suburb in south-eastern Melbourne. The residential area of the suburb was developed primarily in the 1970s and 1980s and has a large multicultural population. The southern part of Clarinda (incorporating Heatherton) contains rural enterprises with production primarily focussed on flowers and vegetables. The area also features the large Kingston Centre - Geriatric Hospital Kingston Heath Golf Club the Clarinda Shopping Centre and the Baxter Tip.
