Berwick is located 42 km south-east of the CBD. Berwick is one of the older settlements located in the Melbourne's south-eastern growth corridor. The Princess Freeway and the Princess Highway traverse the suburb. The population of Berwick is expected to grow rapidly on the back of strong residential development. The suburb also features the Berwick campuses of Monash University and Casey Institue of Tafe and a number of significant of retirement villages.
