With historical vacancy rates from October 2002, the REIV collects vacancy rates and rental data from Members and view.com.au leases on a monthly basis.
The vacancy rate in metropolitan Melbourne went up to 2.6 per cent over the month, while regional Victoria also rose to 2.2 per cent.
Median weekly house rents for both metro Melbourne and regional Victoria went back to $580 and $500, respectively.
