Residential Sales & Buyers Agents Conference
The Playbook for Growing Through Change
Rate movements. Tax reform. New AML/CTF obligations. A state election on the horizon.
Legislative change landing on 1 October that rewrites how you price and market property. This isn't a "changing market" in the abstract, it's a specific, dated list of things that affect how you work this year, and most of them are already in motion.
This conference is built around what you need to have sorted before the next compliance deadline, the next reform, or the next client who asks a question you haven't been briefed on yet.
What you'll walk away with:
A direct briefing from the regulator on the 1 October pricing and marketing reforms, what changes, what enforcement may look like, and how to prepare
Straight answers to the AML/CTF questions your agency needs, two months into the new regime
Practical frameworks for the conversations agents are having right now: managing client expectations in a changing, more scrutinised market, and holding your ground under pressure without damaging the relationship
A sharper way to think about trust and personal brand as AI-generated content floods every feed your clients scroll
Six sessions. Everything on the agenda responds to a challenge agents are dealing with today.

Preparing for Change: Industry Briefing on Reforms Effective 1 October 2026
The Consumer Legislation Amendment Bill 2026 changes how you market residential property and report sale results. This session is your direct line to the regulator: how they're reading the reforms, and how they intend to enforce them.
Speaker: Nicole Rich was formerly the Executive Director, Family, Youth and Children’s Law and for the Gippsland region at Victoria Legal Aid. She is also experienced in consumer affairs having previously worked at Consumer Action Law Centre and been the Chairperson of CHOICE (2013–2017).
Nicole has served on a number of public interest boards and committees, and is currently a committee member (director) representing the interests of consumers on the Legal Practitioners' Liability Committee, Victoria's independent statutory authority providing professional indemnity insurance to lawyers.

AML in Practice: Your Questions Answered
Two months in, AML/CTF obligations have stopped being theoretical and so have the grey areas. This is a working session, not a refresher: submit your questions ahead of time or raise them live, and get practical, informed answers to the compliance problems your agency is actually running into.

Difficult Conversations: Get Confident
Price corrections, vendor pushback, buyer frustration, negotiation tension. The conversations agents are avoiding right now are exactly the ones this session tackles. A practical approach to staying composed, clear and in control when a conversation could easily go sideways.
Speaker: Scott Dutton is the Creator of Conflict Intelligence® (CI) – a brilliantly simple, yet powerful model that develops our ability to consciously connect with, and manage conflict by, the building of collaborative understanding. Not only is Scott passionate about sharing how to mindfully transform conflict into connection, he also loves having fun and is all about creating an energising and uplifting experience. Scott delivers Conflict Intelligent insights, strategies and skills that will heighten self-awareness and promote mutual understanding – with humour!

Managing Client Relationships in a Changing Market
Every client walks in with a different read on the market right now some are anxious, some are combative, some just want certainty you can't fully give them. This session sharpens the communication skills that hold a relationship together when expectations, pricing, and timelines are all under pressure.
Speaker: Danny Grant is a highly respected real-estate coach, trainer, and former high-performing agent with more than 25 years of hands-on experience across sales, leadership, and national training. Before founding Grantspace, Danny built his career at the coalface of residential real estate - progressing from top-performing sales agent to business co-owner of one of Australia's most successful multi-office operations. He understands the industry not from theory, but from lived experience: listing, negotiating, leading teams, managing pressure, and balancing growth with sustainability.

Your Greatest Competitive Advantage: Leading with Values
When everyone's competing on the same listings, the same tools and the same tight margins, differentiation comes down to what clients actually trust you to protect. This session looks at how a clear set of values becomes a practical decision-making tool, not a slogan, in a market where cutting corners is tempting and easy to spot.
Speaker: Tonya Davidson, 2025 REIA Australian Buyers' Agent of the Year, three-time REIV Buyers' Agent of the Year, and former Number One Salesperson at Hocking Stuart, drawing on experience from both sides of the negotiating table.
