Overview

Real estate agents deal with tenants/owners and need to be prepared to respond to a range of sensitive issues that can come up in the workplace, particularly family violence.  Key aspects of effective property management include conflict resolution and legislative compliance.

Family violence is one such issue. Property Managers may at times have to work with family violence intervention orders and other provisions under the Residential Tenancies Act. It is important for Agents to understand the limitations as well as their obligations.

The REIV and Uniting with funding from the Victorian Government, have developed a training course that will provide you the tools and skills to engage with colleagues, owners or tenants effectively on the issue of Family Violence. Leading conversations on challenging and sensitive issues requires considerable skill, dexterity and emotional intelligence.

This course will be delivered online by REIV President Leah Calnan and Karen Hucks from Uniting.

Each attendee will receive an e-book. Please note, no children should be present during the course delivery.
