Agent’s Representative Course in Real Estate

To work in the real estate industry, you must first complete the Agent’s Representative course. This is the first step towards a CPP40307 Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate), the qualification required to become a licensed real estate agent.

 REIV is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 4042), specialising in real estate training.


This course covers the education component required by the Business Licensing Authority (BLA) to work as an Agents Representative.

As an Agent’s Representative you can work for a Licensed Real Estate Agent and undertake a broad range of duties and responsibilities such as sales, property management, business broking and buyer’s advocacy.

The course includes three units of competency from CPP40307 Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate).


Face-to-Face classes $795.00
Guided Distance Learning $595.00

The fee includes:

  • Learner reference guides and additional resources guides
  • All training and assessment including up to 3 re-submissions
  • Additional student support days if required
  • Issuance of a Statement of Attainment upon successful completion of the assessment requirements.

This course is not eligible for government funding.

Students are also eligible for a complimentary REIV Individual Membership if applied for within 6 months of Agent's Representative course completion date and employed with an REIV member agency.

Relocating Interstate Agents


Students who have completed these three units interstate, will be charged a reduced rate of $535.00 to assist them in meeting the requirements in Victoria. Please complete the manual registration form and submit along with a certified copy of your Statement of Attainment.


Entry Requirements

Whilst this course has no specific entry requirements, students will need access to a computer with reliable internet connectivity, with Microsoft Word 2007 or later (or compatible software) and Adobe Reader, as well as printer and scanner.

Students must be:

  • over 18 years of age

  • An Australian citizen, permanent resident or holder of a visa that allows study entitlements*

* The REIV is not CRICOS approved and is unable to deliver to international students.
