SRO Update on Short Stay Levy Legislation
Overview
The recently passed Short Stay Legislation introduced new a new levy, granted additional rights to Owners Corporations and introduced a revised compliance framework. The legislation comes into effect on 1st January 2025. It is important that agents who manage properties leased as short stay accommodation are well versed with the new requirements.
