Place setting in the retail environment - How to add value to retail leasing


This Breakfast will explore the master planning and urban design frameworks currently in practice within the retail environment.

Guest speakers will share tips, to assist property managers, to reinvent or reinvigorate strip retail precincts in addition to design advocacy and disciplines.

 


Rob McGauran - MGS Architects


Rob leads the master planning, design advocacy and urban design disciplines in the practice.

He is an experienced advocate, managing community consultation and government partnership processes involving large and complex multidisciplinary consultant teams and stakeholder groups.

At a strategic planning level Rob has been responsible for urban design frameworks and structure plans for key areas of Melbourne’s transformations, including Arden Urban Renewal Precinct, Footscray University Town, Cremorne Precinct and the historic Alphington Paper Mills. Rob has led the masterplans for Monash University, which has been awarded in Victoria and nationally, as well as for University of New South Wales, University of Wollongong, Victoria University and La Trobe University campuses.

His built projects are known for their innovation, relevance to contemporary issues and community focus.

 


Rick Berry - Fitzroys

 

Rick has 30 years’ experience in the property industry, initially in Town Planning followed by Commercial Real Estate for the past 25 years.

Rick's experience includes management, leasing and disposal of property in the retail, office and industrial sectors and associated consulting appointments.

He has extensive experience in project marketing and leasing, having acted for a wide range of private and public sector organisations in this capacity.
