The REIV Connect Series heads to the North West Suburbs at the Melbourne Showgrounds.
This event gives our members an opportunity to engage with the REIV closer to where you live and work, in order to provide feedback directly and gain information on the things that matter to your area and business.
This year we welcome new REIV CEO Quentin Kilian who will host our event. This will be a fantastic opportunity to engage with the REIV leadership team and hear directly from them about the year ahead in Real Estate and for the REIV.
Information shared at these events is developed with input from government agencies and member feedback. It encapsulates what we consider best practice at the time.

Speakers
Quentin Kilian
CEO, REIV
Mr Kilian is the former CEO of the Real Estate Institute of Northern Territory (REINT), a position he held for 12 years, before joining the REIV.
Before REINT, Mr Kilian spent six years directing Asian relations and international trade for the Northern Territory Government (2003 to 2009).
Rachel Matulis
Divisional Lawyer, Civil Division, Magistrates’ Court of Victoria
Rachel provides expert subject matter advice in the civil division of the Magistrates’ Court and directed the legal implementation of the newly operative federal jurisdiction, including process design and legislative development. Prior to her role at the Magistrates’ Court, Rachel was an Associate at the Supreme Court of Victoria.
Frank Virgona
Self-Represented Litigant Coordinator, Registrar, Magistrates’ Court of Victoria
Frank joined the Magistrates’ Court of Victoria 2003 and has worked in all jurisdictions of the Magistrates’ Court for 19 years. In his current role of Self-Represented Litigant Coordinator, Frank provides court procedural advice to self-represented litigants and other court users seeking to access the federal jurisdiction. Frank completed a Bachelor of Laws in 2018 and was admitted to legal practice in 2019, having has also completed a certificate in Mediation and Dispute Resolution in 2017.
Jim Lourandos
Information Officer, REIV
Jim is well known to many in the industry as a result of his role as Innformation Officer with the REIV. Jim is a Licensed Estate Agent and is a source of sound advice in matters relating to real estate and property law.
Peter Lynch
National Client Relationship Manager, Aon
Peter Lynch is a leader in Professional Indemnity Insurance in the real estate, valuation and management right industry sectors.He boasts 30 years plus experience with Aon Risk Solutions and as National Client Relationship Manager for Real Estate is responsible for maintaining existing relationships with major clients, Associations and Franchise Groups.
Peter has a strong interest in promoting safe and quality business practices in real estate and has been a regular contributor to course materials, presentations and editorial submissions. He has been called upon to be a guest speaker at training forums for a number of organisations include the REIQ, REIA, REINT, REIWA and various franchise groups and Financial Institutions.
Richard Simpson
President, REIV
Richard is a partner in W. B. Simpson & Son, a family real estate business situated in North Melbourne with over 140 years of history. As a Principal in a business that sells and leases both residential & commercial property, Richard has developed an excellent understanding of the major issues facing the real estate industry today.
Richard provides extensive input into the REIV and has previously served as Chair of the REIV Commercial & Industrial Chapter Committee.
