The Liberals and Nationals have developed a “Plan to Get Victoria Back to Work and Back in Business”. The plan includes their suggestions about what they believe should be the key priorities for the Government in the recovery phase.
 
This webinar is an opportunity to hear directly from Opposition Leader, Hon. Michael O’Brien MP, regarding the plan and provide feedback specific to the real estate sector. Michael will also take questions from the attendees.

The Hon. Michael O’Brien MP
Leader of the Opposition

Michael was elected to the Parliament of Victoria as the Member for Malvern in 2006, following a career as an industrial relations lawyer, senior adviser to former Federal Treasurer Peter Costello and commercial barrister at the Victorian Bar. Under Premier Ted Baillieu, Michael served as Minister for Energy and Resources, Minister for Gaming and Minister for Consumer Affairs. Following Denis Napthine’s appointment as Premier, Michael became Treasurer of Victoria. In his two budgets Michael delivered budget surpluses and a stable AAA credit rating while cutting payroll tax, WorkCover premiums, reforming the Fire Services Levy and abolishing stamp duty on life insurance. 

In December 2018, Michael was elected by his colleagues as Leader of the Parliamentary Liberal Party and Leader of the Opposition. As Liberal Leader, Michael has engaged directly with Victorians through a series of listening tours across the state and has reformed the Coalition’s policy making process.Under Michael’s leadership, the Liberal Nationals team is working to hold the current Government to account and to provide a clear alternative vision for Victoria.
