Cladding Safety - Requirements and Rectifications

Details

Join us for a highly informative session on two key issues for Owners Corporation Managers, cladding safety and funding for building works.

Cladding Safe Victoria Regulations 2020 came into effect on 1 December 2020. The REIV has invited Ashley Hunt from Cladding Safety Victoria to provide a comprehensive update on the key matters that the real estate sector should be aware of. Ashley will talk about:

  • Eligibility under the Cladding Safety Victoria’s program

  • Reliable sources of information for impacted Owners Corporations

  • Key steps in a cladding rectification program

  • Identifying safe cladding

In most cases, Owners Corporations are likely to require funding to implement rectification works. This can be a difficult process with specific requirements to make a successful application. The REIV has invited experts on the topic to share their knowledge with OC Managers. Merrick will provide an overview of the requirements to get funding for Building Works. There will be opportunity to ask questions.

You will walk away with a thorough understanding of:

  • Strata finance and the various options that are available to you as an Owners Corporation Manager

  • The parameters you should address before making an application

  • The steps involved in getting financing; where to start, the documentation required.

This is a practical session that aims to provide tips and advice that you can implement immediately.

Webinar link and access details will be provided the afternoon prior. Please contact [email protected] should you have any queries.
