Government funding for accredited real estate training

The REIV offers the CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice and the CPP51122 Diploma of Property (Agency Management). These qualifications can be completed as a full time or part time student or as a traineeship.
 

The REIV is approved to provide subsidised training under the Skills First contract, delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government Funding.


Government funded courses at the REIV are:

  • Certificate IV Real Estate Practice (CPP41419)
  • Diploma of Property: Agency Management (CPP51122)
 

CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice

 

There are 3 ways to fund your qualification CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice.

  • Skills First Government funding: Concession (eligibility criteria applies): Out of pocket fee $500
  • Skills First Government funding (eligibility criteria applies): Out of pocket fee $2,500 (payment plans available)
  • Full fee (not eligible for Government funding): Out of pocket fee $4,250 (payment plans available)


Employers offering traineeships may be eligible for further government funding support.

 

CPP51122 Diploma of Property (Agency Management)

(previously CPP51119)

 

There are 2 ways to fund your qualification CPP51122 Diploma of Property (Agency Management)

  • Skills First Government funding (eligibility criteria applies): Out of pocket fee $3,750 (payment plans available)
  • Full fee (not eligible for Government funding): Out of pocket fee $4,750 (payment plans available)


Employers offering traineeships may be eligible for further government funding support.

 

 

Eligibility for Skills First Government funding

 

Eligibility can only be confirmed after an REIV Enrolment Form and Skills First Declaration is completed. There is no cost or obligation to complete this stage of the process.

Citizenship:

To be eligible for Skills First training, you must be:

  • an Australian citizen, or
  • an Australian permanent resident, or
  • a New Zealand citizen
 

Physical location: 

You must be physically present in Victoria while participating in training and assessment.

 

Course limits:

Skills First funding is limited to:

  • two courses at a time
  • two courses in a year.

Eligibility for Skills First Government funding – Concession

 

Concession is only applicable for CPP41419 Cert IV in Real Estate Practice.


You may be eligible for a concession if you hold a valid and current:

  • Health Care Card issued by the Commonwealth;
  • Pensioner Concession Card;
  • Veteran’s Gold Card;
  • an alternative card or concession eligibility criterion approved by the Minister


The concessions also apply to a dependant spouse or dependent child of a card holder. Please note that, concession rates are only applied to tuition fees.


The concession does not apply to full fee-paying students.

From 1 January 2024, the Skills First Aboriginal Access Fee Waiver replaced the Indigenous Completions Initiative Concession. The REIV will not charge a tuition fee to Skills First students who self-identify as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent.
